comprehensive acupuncture treatment.

There are many additional therapies which may be part of your comprehensive acupuncture treatment. Your session will include a consultation where we discuss your background, goals, and treatment strategies. You will then have your acupuncture treatment which is likely to include any or all of the following services:

Cupping

Ancient healing method which eases back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other pain issues. It uses suction to pull on your skin, and increase blood flow to the affected area, and removing toxins. It is common to have temporary bruising from cupping. 

Moxibustion

A traditional Chinese medicine practice where dried mugwort (moxa) is burned on a raised patch over the skin and applied to specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow and promote healing.

Dry needling/Trigger Point Acupuncture

Therapies where thin needles are inserted into specific muscle trigger points to stimulate a healing response and alleviate pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions,

Myofascial Release/Manual therapy are hands-on treatment methods

Used to manipulate soft tissues and joints to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and promote healing by applying skilled hand movements

Electroacupuncture/TENS/EMS

A medical technique where a small electrical current is passed through acupuncture needles inserted at specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system and alleviate pain or other symptoms. There are two types of electrical stimulation therapies I use to treat pain conditions affecting your nerves or your muscles – transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and electrical muscle stimulation (EMS).
